As a Realtor in San Francisco Bay Area I am working to bring more light and transparency into a shady area of the real estate : foreclosures. With the recent rise in foreclosures, foreclosure-related scams have exploded during the past three years.
Many so-called “fore-closure rescue companies” claim they will help save your home, but in reality are out to make a profit – at your expense. I'll list here the most common red-flags for foreclosure rescue scams which I see being used as a Realtor in San Francisco Bay Area – so please watch out for them being used on you:
