Maybe you have considered furniture or fashion as a work of genius? Do you know that these along with designs are quite quickly protected by copyright law from the Netherlands? The same goes for drawings, sculptures, music et cetera. A child creating a drawing is the immediate proud owner of its copyright protected work of genius. Isn't that more reason for the parents to become like to show off their kid? The threshold due to this copyright protection is very easily realized within the Netherlands. This copyright enables the property owner to cease others from copying their work, and from making near lookalikes. In the event the overall impression is similar, the master can stop the copycat. It's not less than the Dutch criterium.
In a great many countries in Europe a comparable assessment arises. Popular this often causes trouble. The style information mill the expert in borrowing ideas from other designers to be able to restyle the ideas into new stuff. That ought to stop prohibited, provided the designs are sufficiently new. Real copycats need be careful: they will get a notice with the copyright owner should they don't stay unnoticed. Funny thing is always that judging these complaints clearly is actually a human thing. When all the pictures within the copyright works that left for the Dutch court are looked at, it might be hard choose a clear line in Dutch precedent, so auteursrecht advocaat noticed.
