The Many Benefits of GP Locum Recruitment

A general practitioner locum doctor, also referred to as a GP tenens doctor, is a qualified physician temporarily covering the position of a physician within a medical facility. Research indicates that as much as 50% to 80% of jobs in the hospitals are taken up by temporary staff, and a large number of these qualified locum professionals are recruited through medical agencies. Though temporary, a majority of the locum positions within medical institutions and organizations are fixed for qualified doctors.
Some of the well practiced locum professions are general practice, general surgery, psychiatry and anesthesiology. GP locum jobs are particularly a preferred choice for most of the recently qualified doctors, for certain reasons. First, it gives these qualified professionals the opportunity to work in a range of medical institutions.
