Hong Kong Visa Criteria for Entrepreneurs

Even though foreign entrepreneurs are allowed to form a company in Hong Kong and retain 100 per cent ownership in their Hong Kong Company, all entrepreneurs need to apply for an entrepreneur visa if they wish to relocate to the city to manage their business. Completing your Hong Kong company formation does not give you the right to visit Hong Kong and stay in the city to operate the business. While all foreign entrepreneurs are allowed to operate their Hong Kong business from overseas, many have no choice but to relocate to Hong Kong to manage and grow the business effectively. For such entrepreneurs, Hong Kong has the ‘Entry for Investment’ visa scheme.
The Entry for Investment visa scheme is nothing but a special type of visa meant for foreign entrepreneurs. As per the policies of the entrepreneur visa, business owners of a Hong Kong company can apply to be an employee of their own company based in Hong Kong. Since its launch, the Entry for Investment visa has been quite popular with overseas entrepreneurs as well as investors.
